Heavy rain forced the cancellation of Saturday morning’s qualifying session for the 5-Hour Energy 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.
And with rain still falling — and forecast to continue through next Wednesday — it’s unlikely any on-track activity will take place Saturday at the Monster Mile. With qualifying rained out, whenever the race ultimately takes place, the Nationwide cars will be lined up per the NASCAR rulebook.
NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying is scheduled for 12:10 p.m. ET and as of 11 a.m., it had not yet officially been cancelled.
