This is his 14th pole in 378 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his second pole and seventh top-10 start in 2011. This is his first pole in 21 races at Pocono Raceway. Paul Menard (second) posted his fifth top-10 start of 2011 and his first in nine races at Pocono Raceway. Jeff Gordon (third) posted his 22nd top-10 start at Pocono Raceway. It is his sixth in 14 races this season. Andy Lally (24th) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
