This is his second pole in 91 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. His first pole came on 3/21/10 at Bristol Motor Speedway This is his first pole and ninth top-10 start in 2011. This is his first pole in three races at Infineon Raceway. His previous best start, 12th, came in 2009. Jamie McMurray (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2011 and his third in nine races at Infineon Raceway. Paul Menard (third) posted his first top-10 start at Infineon Raceway. It is his seventh in 16 races this season. Andy Lally (41st) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
