CAMPING WORLD TRUCKMUDSUMMER CLASSIC

CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES –1-800CARCASH MUDSUMMER CLASSIC PRESENTED BY CNBC PRIME THE PROFIT, JULY 24, 7 P.M. ET ON SPEED
Hype-Time Is Over, Now It’s Time To Race
Ever since the announcement was made last November that NASCAR would hold a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on dirt, the excitement has been building. The 1-800CARCASH Mudsummer Classic is a sellout and some of the best dirt-track competitors in the country are converging on Eldora Speedway to battle NASCAR Camping World Truck drivers at the historic track in Ohio. Practice will be held Tuesday with five heat races beginning at 7 p.m. ET, on Wednesday, followed by the 150-lap race set for 9:35 p.m. ET.

Dillons, Blaneys Play ‘Family Feud’ At Eldora
Wednesday night’s Eldora race will feature brother vs. brother and father vs. son battles. Former NASCAR Camping World Truck champion and NASCAR Nationwide title hopeful Austin Dillon returns to the series to face younger sibling Ty Dillon, last year’s Sunoco Rookie of the Year and current championship contender. NASCAR Sprint Cup competitor and sprint car champion Dave Blaney faces off against his son, Ryan Blaney, in a pair of Brad Keselowski Racing Fords.

Unique Event Could Remake Championship Standings
The Eldora Speedway race could dramatically reshape the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship – two races away from its mid-point. Matt Crafton holds a 38-point lead over Jeb Burton with reigning champion James Buescher two points further back in third. With a number of “ringers” in the field – Scott Bloomquist, Ken Schrader, Ryan Newman and Kenny Wallace among them – the going could be tough for competitors who usually run at the front of the field. It’s an opportunity for fourth-place Ty Dillon – who races on dirt whenever his schedule permits – to reduce his 48-point standings deficit.
