Jamie McMurray won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Pepsi MAX 400 with a lap of 38.859 seconds, 185.285 mph.
This is his seventh pole in 288 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
This is his fourth pole and 12th top-10 start in 2010.
This is his second pole in 15 races at Auto Club Speedway. McMurray won the pole here in February. He is the second driver to sweep poles in a season at Auto Club Speedway (Kurt Busch, 2006)


Elliott Sadler (second) posted his second top-10 start of 2010 and his fifth in 19 races at Auto Club Speedway.
Matt Kenseth (third) posted his third top-10 start at Auto Club Speedway. It is his seventh in 30 races this season.
Kevin Conway (41st) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
Drivers not qualifying for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup took 5 of 6 starting positions.
