Ryan Newman, #39 U.S. Army, Stewart-Haas Racing After finishing outside the top 15 in four straight starts, Newman was nearly perfect at Phoenix in 2010. A little pit strategy helped him win the April event, and he proved it was no fluke with a second-place finish in the fall race. Strategy played a role in both results, but Newman had a top-10 car in both races either way.
Kevin Harvick, #29 Budweiser, Richard Childress Racing Harvick is a two-time winner at Phoenix, but he hasn't recorded a top-five finish at the track since sweeping both events in 2006. That being said, he hasn't been running poorly either. He has five top 15 finishes in his last eight starts, including finishes of 13th and sixth in 2010.
Kurt Busch, #22 Shell/Pennzoil, Penske Racing - four top 10s in his last five starts , Busch is a former winner at the track as well, and he even managed a ninth-place finish last fall when he was mired in a terrible second half slump.
Joey Logano, #20 The Home Depot, Joe Gibbs Racing Logano began to emerge as a flat track stud last season, and PIR was the site of two top 10 finishes for the up and coming driver. After finishing 10th in the April event, he finished third during the Chase. The ever-improving Logano could be in line for a win at the track in the near future.
Greg Biffle, #16 3M, Roush Fenway Racing Roush Fenway Racing enjoyed a strong season at Phoenix in 2010, and Biffle got in on the action. His fourth-place finish in the fall event was his sixth top 15 finish in his last seven starts at the track.
