Inaugural Trip To Iowa For Series Points Leader
The NASCAR Nationwide Series championship points leader heads into unfamiliar territory this weekend at Iowa Speedway. In 114 series starts, Smith has never raced at Iowa Speedway. His crew chief – Greg Ives – finds himself in the same unfamiliar territory. Smith currently holds a 27-point lead over Sam Hornish Jr.

Iowa Homecoming For Annett, Gase
Who says you can’t go home? Michael Annett – a former Waterloo Black Hawks hockey player – is headed home following a solid 13th-place finish at Dover. The Des Moines native has one top-five and two top-10 finishes in six starts at Iowa Speedway. Annett will not be the only Iowa driver competing this weekend, Joey Gase of Cedar Rapids will be making his fourth start at the speedway.

Logano Does Double-Duty This Weekend In Iowa, Pocono
Joey Logano has a big weekend at hand – 410 laps and 618.75 miles to be exact. Logano will attempt the double this weekend competing in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series DuPont Pioneer 250 on Saturday in Iowa and then the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Party in the Poconos 400 on Sunday. Logano won the first ever NASCAR race held at Iowa Speedway in 2007, a combination NASCAR K&N Pro Series East-West event.
